In the study patients will be randomized to receive either two short courses of cladribine (low-dose or high-dose) or matched oral placebo, with courses separated by 4 weeks, followed by a blinded extension period and a retreatment period to assess sustained benefit, need for retreatment and long-term safety. The primary endpoint is change from baseline in the MG-Activities of Daily Living (MG-ADL) score at Week 24 of the double-blind placebo-controlled period.
